One of the departments of which the Parish Council is proudest is that of Poor Relief. Described as caring for the needy, this department at present takes care of over 600 dependents, 7% of who are children, as dependents.
The Poor Relief Dept cares for the needy by paying their medical bills, transportation costs, clothing and bedding, in conjunction with other agencies such as Food for the Poor.
One proud service of the department is feeding of street people. This aspect of its outdoor poor operations is undertaken in liaison with other agencies.
